Terms & Conditions

AMARÉA TRAVEL & SAFARIS IS COMMITTED TO TRANSPARENCY, SAFETY, AND UNRIVALED EXCELLENCE IN EVERY BESPOKE JOURNEY WE CRAFT.

Please review our general terms and conditions governing all safari bookings, accommodation arrangements, and travel experiences with us.

01

Introduction & Agreement

By booking a safari, trekking expedition, beach holiday, or any travel service with Amaréa Travel & Safaris, you (“the Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between the Client and Amaréa Travel & Safaris.

02

Booking & Deposit Requirement

To confirm a tailor-made safari or tour booking, a non-refundable deposit of 30% to 50% of the total tour price is required at the time of booking. Bookings involving high-end luxury lodges, internal flights, or mountain trekking permits may require a higher deposit. A booking is confirmed once cleared funds are received and an official confirmation is issued.

03

Final Payment Schedule

The remaining balance of the total tour price must be paid at least 45 days prior to the scheduled arrival date. For bookings made within 45 days of arrival, full payment (100%) is required immediately upon booking. Failure to pay by the due date may result in cancellation and deposit forfeiture.

04

Cancellation & Refund Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Fees are calculated based on notice received prior to departure:

  • 60+ days before arrival: Deposit retained (or credited for future travel).
  • 46 to 60 days: 30% of total tour cost charged.
  • 31 to 45 days: 50% of total tour cost charged.
  • 15 to 30 days: 75% of total tour cost charged.
  • Less than 14 days / No-Show: 100% charged (Non-refundable).

*National park fees, conservation permits, chimp/gorilla tracking permits, and internal flights are non-refundable once issued.

05

Alterations & Itinerary Changes

Requested changes by the client after confirmation will be accommodated where possible, subject to supplier availability and fees. Amaréa Travel & Safaris reserves the right to alter routes, lodges, or activities due to weather, road conditions, or safety concerns, providing equal-quality alternatives.

06

Travel Insurance & Health Requirements

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all guests, covering emergency medical evacuation, medical expenses, trip cancellation, and loss of luggage. Clients are responsible for possessing valid passports (valid 6+ months), entry visas, and required health/vaccination certificates.

07

Rates, Inclusions & Price Adjustments

Inclusions cover accommodations, specified meals, game drives, private 4x4 safari vehicle with expert guide, and park fees as specified. Excluded are international flights, entry visas, travel insurance, tips, and personal shopping. We reserve the right to adjust prices in the event of new government taxes or park fee changes beyond our control.

08

Limitation of Liability & Force Majeure

While we partner with premier suppliers, Amaréa Travel & Safaris acts as an agent for lodges, transport providers, and airlines, and cannot be held liable for personal injury, loss, delay, or third-party acts. We are not liable for non-performance caused by Force Majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, civil unrest, or extreme weather).

09

Photography & Client Conduct

We reserve the right to capture photos/videos during tours for promotional marketing (clients may opt out in writing prior to travel). Clients must respect local laws, wildlife regulations, and guide instructions. We reserve the right to terminate participation for disruptive or illegal behavior.

10

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any legal claims or disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tanzanian courts.
